The QEII Market is moving outside tomorrow. Looking forward to being outdoors for the rest of the summer – as long as the rain holds off! Tomorrow is meant to be decent, so it’s a good opportunity to come out and stock up for the weekend. Here’s what we have on the menu –

Honeyspoon Blend Granola – Our signature blend of oats, almonds and hemp hearts coated in a delicious caramelized honey butter and toasted to golden, clumpy perfection.

Maple, Pecan and Olive Oil Blend Granola – This blend of oats, pecans, coconut flakes, sunflower seeds and pepitas, toasted with maple syrup and olive oil is a whole foods, vegan extravaganza!

Double Coconut Blend Granola – Back this week by popular demand! Two times the coconut, two times the delicious flavour! Baked with organic extra virgin coconut oil and containing coconut flakes, cashews, pumpkin seeds and organic unsulphured apricots – lightly sweetened with maple syrup – this granola is vegan, wholesome and just a touch tropical. An island holiday in a bowl!

Granola Flight – a great way to taste all three of our granolas – a 200g bag of each of our flavours, all packaged in a reusable (and very cute!) canvas bag.

Sweet & Salty Wedges – a mixture of dates, almonds, pepitas, sunflower seeds, flax seeds and dark chocolate chunks finished with a sprinkling of sea salt flakes. This grain-free, energy-filled, versatile snack works with your morning coffee or your evening glass of red.

The Annapolis Granola Bars – local organic dried apples, local organic thompson raisins, coconut and almonds added to our base of local organic oats – chewy, buttery and crumbly all at once.

Salted Caramel Pecan Blondies – buttery blondies with caramel bits and toasted pecans finished with a sprinkling of sea salt flakes – and they’re gluten free to boot!

Brown Butter Hazelnut Brownies – the name says it all. Organic fair trade 70% dark chocolate, toasted hazelnuts and browned butter – all this and gluten free!

Raspberry Rhubarb Upside Down Cake – A compote of organic local rhubarb and raspberries atop a moist vanilla scented quinoa, brown rice and almond flour cake. Finished with a sprinking of raw pistachios, a delicious and healthy way to enjoy one of the first fruits of the summer.

After a great day at the QEII Markets, and a busy night of baking, we are all ready for the Hubbards Farmer’s Market tomorrow. Some old favorites, and some new treats, including muffins with local organic rhubarb. Here’s what’s on the menu –

Raspberry Rhubarb Muffins – don’t let their appearance fool you – these little muffins are powerhouses of goodness. Organic local rhubarb – both diced and in a compote – and raspberries baked into a moist quinoa, amaranth, almond and millet base.

Maple Banana Cake with Toasted Pecan Cream Cheese Icing – a delectable moist banana and almond flour cake sweetened with organic maple syrup, and topped with cream cheese icing and toasted pecans. Yum!

We had a great time at the QEII Market today – thanks to everyone who came out! We are off to the Wolfville Market tomorrow morning – a great start to the long weekend. Here’s what’s on the menu –

This is our first week at the QEII Farmers Market. We hope to be here every week, so that all our Halifax fans can get their granola (or blondie) fix! Currently, vendors are located inside near the cafeteria, but the market will move outside in the next couple of weeks. Without further ado, here is the menu –

We had such a great time at Halifax Crafters last week – thanks to all those who came out and supported us, and to the volunteers and vendors who make it all happen!  Now, we’re getting ready to do it all again at the Hubbards Farmer’s Market this Saturday, May 12.  It’s the day before mother’s day, so it could be a good time to stock up on supplies for breakfast in bed, or an afternoon tea in mom’s honour.
